aden-bamboo-laundry-basket-natural
Aden Bamboo Laundry Basket - Natural

Description

This laundry basket is a slatted bamboo cabinet with a hinged lid and a cotton liner, so the washing stays hidden while the open slats let air reach it. It measures 56.5cm long, 35cm wide and 51.5cm tall, a low, broad shape that sits neatly under a window or against a wall without crowding the room, and it weighs 4.5KG. Its colour is natural bamboo, with the nodes of each stem showing along the slats, and horizontal slats run across the front, the sides and the lid, so it looks as tidy from the side as from the front.

It belongs wherever the washing gathers: a bathroom, a bedroom, a utility room or the landing. At 35cm wide it suits a narrow gap beside a bath, a basin or a chest of drawers, and at 51.5cm tall the lid sits at an easy height for each day's clothes. Because the slatted lid is flat, it also gives a handy surface for a folded towel, a tray of soaps or a plant, which is useful in a small bathroom with little shelf space. It suits a family home, a shared flat or a guest room, anywhere a basket needs to keep laundry out of sight and still look like furniture.

The frame is bamboo and the liner is cotton. The liner hangs from rods that rest in notches at the top of the frame, and the lid opens on hinges. The side panels are hinged too, so the frame folds when the basket is not needed, which helps when moving house or storing it in a cupboard. The maker's assembly instructions come as a PDF download. Bamboo is a natural material, so grain and tone vary a little from one piece to the next. For a calm bathroom, pair it with other bamboo, rattan or linen pieces and let the natural colour carry the room.

Specification

Width

35cm

Length

56.5cm

Height

51.5cm

Material

Bamboo, Cotton

Colour

Natural

Weight

4.5KG

Downloads

Assembly instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

Which materials does the laundry basket use?

The frame is bamboo and the liner inside is cotton, the two materials the maker lists for this laundry basket.

How big is the laundry basket?

It is 56.5cm long, 35cm wide and 51.5cm tall, and it weighs 4.5KG, so it fits a modest gap beside a bath or a chest of drawers.

Does it have a lid?

Yes.
