adelle-stoneware-plant-pot-grey
Adelle Stoneware Plant Pot - Grey

Description

This stoneware plant pot has a character all its own: 18cm across and 19.5cm tall, with a grey stoneware body brushed with horizontal streaks of decoration. One side carries a folded seam running from rim to base, and the rim pinches in beside it, giving an irregular outline rather than a perfectly even one. The sides draw in slightly through the middle, which softens the form further. Stoneware is a dense, hard-wearing clay fired at high temperature, and at 1.37KG this pot has a reassuring weight in the hand.

At this size it suits a houseplant for a windowsill, a bookshelf, a sideboard or the centre of a table, rather than a large floor plant. The streaked grey surface sits easily beside pale woods, linen and plain walls, and it brings texture to a kitchen, living room or hallway where a smooth pot can look flat. It makes a thoughtful gift for anyone who keeps houseplants, because no two pots are quite alike. Away from plants, it works well holding dried stems or gathered grasses as a lasting arrangement.

Each piece is decorated by hand, so the brushwork, the spread of lighter and darker streaks and the amount of bare clay left visible differ from one pot to the next, and yours will carry its own pattern. Inside and along the rim, the plain grey stoneware is left showing, which keeps the look earthy and ties the interior to the outside. For an easy way to style it, set your plant, still in its plastic grower's pot, within this one: repotting stays simple, and you can change the plant with the seasons while the stoneware pot keeps its place on the shelf.

Specification

Height

19.5cm

Diameter

18cm

Material

100% Stoneware

Colour

Grey

Finish

Each piece is unique as it is decorated by hand

Weight

1.37KG

Frequently Asked

What is the plant pot made of?

It is made of 100% stoneware, a dense clay fired hard, and the surface is decorated by hand, so each pot is a one-off.

How big is the pot?

It measures 18cm across and 19.5cm tall, which suits a houseplant for a shelf, windowsill or table rather than a large floor plant.

How heavy is it?

It weighs 1.37KG, so it has a solid, reassuring weight for a pot of this size and feels substantial when you lift it.

Is every pot decorated the same way?

No. Each piece is decorated by hand, so the brushed streaks and the amount of bare grey clay left visible vary, and yours will be unique.

What colour is the pot?

It is grey, with hand-brushed streaks in lighter and darker tones running around the pot over the grey stoneware body.
