addy-stoneware-cup-130ml-cream
Addy Stoneware Cup 130ml - Cream

Description

This small stoneware cup in cream is hand decorated with little flowers in several colours, scattered over a softly uneven, rounded body. It holds 130ml and is 5.5cm across and 6.5cm tall, which makes it a child's cup rather than a mug: right for a drink of milk or juice at the table. The loop handle is generous for the size of the cup, giving small fingers room to grip, and at 0.15KG it is light to lift. As with any hand decoration, the flowers vary a little from one cup to the next, so yours will be its own.

It belongs on the breakfast table or at teatime as a child's own cup for warm milk, juice or water. It goes in the microwave, so milk can be warmed in the cup itself with no pan to wash afterwards. It suits a play tea party or a dolls' picnic too, and a grown-up who likes a small coffee or a short cup of tea will find the size just right. Grouped with other small cups on an open shelf or in a kitchen alcove, it adds a cheerful touch between meals, and it makes a sweet gift for a birthday, a christening or a new big brother or sister.

The cup is made entirely of stoneware, a dense, hard-wearing ceramic that holds heat well. It goes in the dishwasher, the microwave and the oven, which means it can be washed with the rest of the family's crockery after every meal, with no hand-washing to remember. The flowers are hand decorated rather than printed, which is where the cup gets its slightly irregular charm. For styling, line up a few along a kitchen shelf, or stand one beside the breakfast bowls so it is the first thing a child reaches for in the morning; the styling props shown are not included.

Specification

Height

6.5cm

Diameter

5.5cm

Material

100% Stoneware

Colour

Cream

Finish

Hand decorated

Capacity

130ml

Dishwasher safe

Yes

Microwave safe

Yes

Oven safe

Yes

Food safe

Yes

Weight

0.15KG

Frequently Asked

What material is the cup?

It is made entirely of stoneware, a dense ceramic, and the flowers on its cream body are hand decorated.

Can it go in the dishwasher?

Yes.
