addison-speckled-stoneware-dinner-set-of-12-white
Addison Speckled Stoneware Dinner Set of 12 - White

Description

This is a twelve-piece stoneware dinner set in white, finished in a speckled reactive glaze and made to lay a table for four. It brings together four bowls, four smaller plates and four larger plates. The larger plates measure 26.5cm by 2.5cm, a full dinner plate size with room for a main course. The smaller plates are 20cm across and 2cm tall, the size for a starter, a slice of cake or toast at breakfast. Each bowl is 13cm across and 7cm tall and holds 250ml, which makes it a breakfast bowl for cereal, porridge or yoghurt rather than a deep pasta bowl.

Because every piece shares the same glaze, the set works as a complete everyday service for a couple or a small family, with plates and bowls covering most meals from breakfast to supper. The white, speckled surface sits easily on a wooden kitchen table, a linen cloth or a woven placemat, and it lets the colour of the food lead. It is plain enough for weekday dinners and calm enough to sit beside serving dishes already in your cupboard when friends come round for a long weekend lunch.

Every piece is 100% stoneware, a dense, hard-wearing ceramic fired at high temperatures, and the reactive glaze moves as it fires, so the speckle settles a little differently on each plate and bowl. The whole set goes in the dishwasher, the microwave and the oven, so you can warm the dinner plates before serving, reheat a bowl of soup and stack everything in the dishwasher afterwards. Stoneware holds heat well, which is worth knowing when you warm plates for a Sunday roast. The styling props shown are not included. For a relaxed table, set a smaller plate on each dinner plate and a bowl on top, so every place is laid in one move.

Specification

Bowl

Height 7cm, Diameter 13cm

Plate 1

Height 2cm, Diameter 20cm

Plate 2

26.5cm by 2.5cm

Sold as

Set of 12

Material

100% Stoneware

Colour

White

Finish

Reactive glaze

Capacity

250ml

Dishwasher safe

Yes

Microwave safe

Yes

Oven safe

Yes

Food safe

Yes

Weight

1.9KG

Frequently Asked

What is included in the set?

The set has twelve pieces in white speckled stoneware: four bowls, four smaller plates and four larger dinner plates, enough for four place settings.

How big are the plates and bowls?

The dinner plates measure 26.5cm by 2.5cm, the smaller plates are 20cm across and 2cm tall, and each bowl is 13cm across and 7cm tall.

How much does each bowl hold?

Each bowl holds 250ml, a good size for cereal, porridge, yoghurt or a small serving of soup rather than a large pasta dish.

Can it go in the dishwasher, microwave and oven?

Yes.
