30-year-old-legend-engraved-square-slate-coaster-black
30 Year Old Legend Engraved Square Slate Coaster - Black

Description

This square slate coaster carries a proud birthday message for anyone reaching thirty, engraved in grey across a black face. The words read 'This 30 Year Old Is a Legend In The Making', framed by scrolls, stars and flourishes, with 'Unique', 'Totally Awesome' and a 'Best of the Best' ribbon beneath. It measures 10cm square and 1cm deep, so it takes a mug, a tumbler or a wine glass with room to spare, and its rough cut edges give the dark slate a rugged look beside the crisp lettering.

We think it makes a thoughtful 30th birthday gift, and one that keeps being used long after the party. Set it on a desk, a coffee table or a bedside table and it will sit under the morning coffee or the evening drink day after day, the message raising a smile each time a glass comes down on it. Black slate suits a study, a home bar or a living room with darker furnishings, and it looks just as at home on a kitchen table. At 10cm square and only 1cm deep, it wraps neatly and tucks in beside a birthday card with no fuss, which makes it an easy present to hand over on the day.

The grey lettering and decoration are engraved into the black face, while the edges are left rough cut, so the coaster has the feel of a piece of slate rather than a printed mat. To keep it looking its best, wipe it with a damp cloth and let it dry fully, and dust it with a soft dry cloth between uses; as general good practice for slate, we would not soak it. For a birthday table, wrap it with ribbon and pair it with a card, or set it at the guest of honour's place ready for the first toast.

Specification

Colour

Black

Size

10 x 10cm

Depth

1cm

Weight

0.122kg

Occasion

Birthday

Frequently Asked

How big is the slate coaster?

It measures 10cm square and 1cm deep, which gives a mug, a tumbler or a wine glass plenty of room to sit.

What does the engraving on the coaster say?

It reads 'This 30 Year Old Is a Legend In The Making', with stars, scrolls, 'Unique', 'Totally Awesome' and a 'Best of the Best' ribbon, all in grey.

What colour is the coaster?

The slate face is black and the lettering and decoration are engraved in grey, so the message stands out clearly against the dark surface.

How should I clean a slate coaster?

Wipe it with a damp cloth and let it dry fully, then dust it with a soft dry cloth between uses; as general practice for slate, we would avoid soaking it.

Is this a good gift for a 30th birthday?

Yes, the engraved message is written for someone turning 30, and as a coaster it gets used every day long after the birthday itself.
