1-gang-tv-aerial-outlet-orange
1 Gang TV Aerial Socket - Orange

Description

This is a coaxial connection point for a television aerial, presented on a screwless plate with a clean square face and no visible fixings across the front. The plate measures 88mm square, so it sits neatly in the standard single gang footprint used throughout British wiring accessories. The single female connector is centred on the plate, and the moulding is finished in a solid orange right through the visible face and the edge return.

Orange is a working colour rather than a decorative one, and that is exactly why we keep it. It marks out a particular service or circuit at a glance, which is useful in edit suites, control rooms, classrooms, studios, workshops and equipment cupboards where several similar looking terminations sit side by side and someone needs to identify the aerial feed without tracing cable. We would reach for it wherever a signal run has to be told apart from power and data at a distance. It is rated as a low voltage Class 3 accessory for signal work and belongs indoors, in dry rooms away from splashes and weather.

The plate and connector housing are moulded in polycarbonate, a tough engineering plastic that keeps its shape and colour and does not need painting or polishing. Cleaning is simply a wipe over with a soft cloth, barely damp, and nothing more; keep solvents, kitchen sprays and abrasive creams well away from the face, as these will dull the orange and can craze the plastic over time. It carries a ten year warranty. Because the screwless plate reads as one continuous surface, it looks its best where several plates run in a line at matching heights, and it works well in schemes that use colour to code services rather than hide them. The socket is supplied as a plate and connector only.

Specification

Colour

Orange

Type of Finish

Colour

Weight

0.07KG

Length

88mm

Width

25mm

Height

88mm

Back Box Depth

25mm

Materials Used

Polycarbonate, Metal

Protection Class

Class 3 - Low Voltage

IP Rating

IP20

Warranty

10yrs

UKCA/CE

Yes

Additional Certification

BS EN 60669

Number of Gangs

1

Pieces Included

1

Installation

Requires Installation By Qualified Electrician. 25mm Box Depth Is Recommended.

Suitable For

Indoor Use Only.
